They went all to quickly. The rooms were spotless the staff were friendly and inviting.Tim and Ken were very friendly and always make sure that everything is perfect, they always take the time to welcome us and check that all is going well not only with our stay but we as people as well like a very special visitor. They always make us feel special. The spa is wonderful and relaxing, the breakfast nice and inviting the social hour is buzzing with excitement and conversation. the signature drink is made with fresh grapefruit juice from fruit trees grown on the grounds. We will always think of La Dolce Vita as our special get away place for fun and relaxation. My room was cozy this time (my choice of a smaller room from among the options), but the bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby, as a bonus I had my own private patio. This is such a friendly and relaxed inn. The vibe depends on the guests in large part, but from all of my stays I would characterize the overall ambiance as friendly but laid back---a good place to relax. The pools here are lovely, and the steam room and jacuzzi are especially nice. The breakfast is better than most I’ve had at similar inns in the area, and the atmosphere in the breakfast area early in the morning can’t be beat: light music, fragrant jasmine and grapefruit, and good coffee. Who could ask for anything more? The owners and staff are all helpful and responsive, and the cocktail hour each evening is always a blast. Our rooms have always been clean and well-serviced, and the cleanliness of the linens has always been impeccable. It is a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere and the spa services are wonderful; we always have a massage while there (Frank is excellent) and couldn’t be more pleased. We always meet wonderful, down-to-earth guys when we are there (thankfully) and the social hour is always a fun time. What else could you expect : 2 pools, Hammam, 2 Jacuzzi, a spa… Rooms are big , very clean and well equipped. Beds are very comfortable. A microwave in rooms for having lunch or dinner in room. An excellent service, the staff is very friendly and helpful. And the must is the social drink in evening. You can meet other guys and share your impressions. I love this kind of atmosphere who give you chance to have funny meeting, like the time I met this American guy who knew many old french artists of the sixties and songs like Soeur Sourire, France Gall or Sheila. It was our third visit in a little over a year. It was just the best! We felt so at home. Our room had been upgraded since our last visit in 2011. The improvements to the bath and the new bedroom furniture were very tasteful. They just keep making it better and better, but the best part is the amiable owners and staff who are just so friendly and accommodating. No attitude, just good service. It is like staying with friends. My partner and I own a B&B in Key West and can really appreciate a place that understands the true meaning of hospitality.The friendly and often attractive clientele is also easy to meet and socialize with. The late afternoon social hour really facilitates making new friends and reconnecting with old ones you met on previous visits. The clothing optional policy is comfortable and unintimidating. The 2 pools are always warm, the hot tubs uncrowded and the steam room luxuriously soothing. The resort is private with small patio sitting areas and heated pools, spa, steam room amenities are great! We stayed in the roma suite which is spacious. Bed and linens are awesome. Wish the suite would have had a tub to soak but warmed up using spa and sauna instead. The only recommendation would be to have flat panel/dvd but I understand they have already installed in about half the rooms and continuing to other rooms. La Dolce Vita Resort is one to be savored and enjoyed as often as possible. I had never been to Palm Springs and decided after doing some quick research this would be the resort for me; I was not disappointed. The staff couldn’t be more attentive and friendly with none of the forced “this is my job, so I smile” canned response. The owners Ken & Tim are on property daily, spending quality time with the guests and taking a personal hands on approach to their business. Shane & Andy at the front desk are on alert, running here and there while stopping every so often to tell you about the latest happenings in Palm Springs. The spa is “big league” in a plain brown wrapper. Who knew? My massage was one of the best I’ve ever had and the other spa treatments available are offered with the same precision and attention that even the Red Door of Elizabeth Arden would be envious! This has by far been the best vacation I’ve had in years. As one person told me during my stay that the clientele are a direct reflection of the owners; a testiment to the quality of the people and the property. That being said, I will be a regular customer, as were most of the people I met during my stay. Friendships were made, relaxation was achieved, a good time was had by all.
